Six medium-intensity treks in India that do not involve snow and ice trekking: the below are an indication of what to expect, please be sure to research throughly before setting off

  •  Valley of Flowers Trek, Uttarakhand

The Valley of Flowers trek is known for its vibrant meadows adorned with diverse alpine flora. This moderate trek starts from Govindghat and passes through Ghangaria before reaching the valley, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. The trek is best visited between July and September when the valley is in full bloom. 
  • Har Ki Dun Trek, Uttarakhand

   This trek offers stunning views of valleys, forests, and meadows. Har Ki Dun, also known as the Valley of Gods, is accessible through Govind National Park. The trail winds through ancient villages, giving trekkers a glimpse into local culture. The trek is suitable for beginners and best undertaken from April to June and September to November. 

  • Kedarkantha Trek, Uttarakhand

   The Kedarkantha trek is a perfect blend of adventure and natural beauty, featuring dense forests and panoramic views of snow-capped peaks, though the trek itself is snow-free during certain months. This trek is ideal from December to April for snow lovers, but it can be undertaken without snow challenges in pre-winter or post-winter months. 

  • Rajmachi Trek, Maharashtra

   The Rajmachi trek is a popular route in the Western Ghats, featuring two forts, Shrivardhan and Manaranjan. The trek offers beautiful views of the surrounding landscape and is accessible from both Lonavala and Karjat. The best time to visit is during the monsoon when the area is lush and green. 

  • Nag Tibba Trek, Uttarakhand

   This trek is known for its scenic beauty and is a relatively easy trail suitable for beginners. The trek to Nag Tibba, or Serpent’s Peak, offers panoramic views of the Himalayas and is ideal for a weekend getaway. It is best undertaken from October to March. 

  • Bhrigu Lake Trek, Himachal Pradesh

   The Bhrigu Lake trek is famous for its high-altitude lake, situated near Manali. This trek provides trekkers with stunning views of the Pir Panjal range and Kullu Valley. The trail is accessible from May to October and is suitable for those looking to experience the beauty of the Himalayas without the challenge of snow and ice.
