How to use Wongari Merino Lambswool

PROTECT

Prevention is always better than cure

Step 1

Get your footwear fitted professionally.  Make sure that your feet and toes are not jammed in and that you are comfortable before setting off.  Break in your footwear before any long adventures.

Step 2

Before you start you walk or activity, apply a generous amount of Wongari Blister guard to the usually prone areas eg. - between toes, back and side of the foot and areas that are likely to experience friction and irritation during your activity.

You can do this by simply wrapping the hotspot or affected area with Wongari Merino Lambswool.  Then roll up your socks and the lambwool will blend seamlessly into the fabric and keep it in place.  Don't worry, you can remove it later by pulling it off the sock.

You can wash and reuse the wool as the fibres are Lanolin rich and breathable.  Repeated washing will eventually wash out the lanolin and you will need to apply a fresh patch.

REPAIR

Treatment of Blisters

If you find that a blister has developed, do not apply the lambswool directly onto your skin.  Remove your socks and footwear and dry your feet.  Seek medical help if required or apply a medicate plaster/bandaid after you have cleaned the affected area.  Once you have done this you can apply Wongari Blister Guard over the area to provide a breathable cushion to avoid further friction on your walk or activity.

The soft and breathable natural wool fibres will wick away moisture and keep your feet or hands dry, enabling you to continue your activity.  The fibres of merino wool have properties that inhibit the growth or bacteria, making it resistant to odours and microbial development.
